You may be wondering “What is this phase 2 I keep hearing about?”

For you to understand what phase 2 is, perhaps it would be best for you to understand what phase 1 is first.

Phase 1 is what we refer to as the “Game of other people”. You are focused on other people for the majority of your experience. This includes but is not limited to:

  1. Other people’s feelings
  2. Other people’s successes or failures
  3. Other people’s problems
  4. Other people’s dramas
  5. Other people’s items/possessions
  6. Other peoples approval

That list could go on but I think you get the point here. In phase 1, you become so consumed with these things that you spend a ton of time and energy on them. So much so that you don’t know where you start or where you end.

An example of this is when you are looking at social media and you see someone that you admire and you think to yourself “I wish I had a life like them”. This can especially be the case when people are showcasing their apparent riches. Someone looks at the glitz and glamour and becomes obsessed with what those people have.

Another example of this can be someone who is working at a 9-5 job and wants to be in a better position. They work tirelessly to get that position that someone else has.

Phase 1 is filled with tons of competition amongst ourselves and others. We feel the need to continue to battle for what we want and there isn’t enough for everyone.

Enter Phase 2.

Phase 2 is the complete opposite of Phase 1. By that, I mean that the focus in phase 1 is on other people and their desires and wants. Often resulting in putting yourself last in the process. However, Phase 2 is where you take all of that energy and focus it on yourself!

Rather than forcing life to bend to your will (which never works by the way), you allow life to happen. Life unfolds in such a way that no amount of planning could have ever predicted what would have happened. Perhaps you could have the wealth you wanted to experience in a much simpler way. Perhaps being happy wasn’t as complicated as you expected. Phase 2 allows us to experience these things ignoring the need to compete with others and helps us experience them through the spirit of cooperation.

Another difference between Phase 1 and Phase 2 is that in Phase 1, the focus is on what other people are telling you and running around in circles. However, in phase 2, you focus on using your intuition to help you navigate the world.

Your intuition is a guide that all of us have access to that can help you shape the life you’d like to experience. In phase 1, this is often ignored in favor of more “logical” applications.

Phase 2, although simpler to follow than many Phase 1 ideals, can be challenging for those who are accustomed to struggling in their lives.

Conclusion

It is important to note that despite the differences between the 2 phases, there is nothing “better” or “worse” about them. They are simply different ways of living.
